Looking back, I did the same ”clothes & home furnishings” thing & because I didn’t feel ”good enough”. I’d just moved to a foreign, wealthier & colder country, where people dressed differently. Even at 30, I hadn’t found ”me” & I was also trying to fit in, tho’ I didn’t know it at the time. I didn’t have a hope, cos’ the growing fashion industry knew the way to make a lot of money was to get every woman to wear the same ”look”. It took years to find ”me” & to rebel against conformity.
